Emma actually "straightened" her glasses before falling back to sleep. This LATE nap lasted three hours but only delayed her bedtime forty-five minutes.

Heading To The Finish

The kitchen cabinets were being installed (2 cabinets not pictured) while the tile floors were completed. The stucco color is a good match with the siding. The hardwood floors go in tomorrow and I assumed the floors would go in before the cabinets. Well, I was wrong and found myself apologizing to the project manager. I instantly warped back to Waller Court when the thought of improper installation was surfacing. The floor guy mentioned hardwood floors (in Utah non-custom homes) are installed after the cabinets due to extreme contraction and expansion. Custom homes have cabinets screwed to the walls and not the floor. Non-custom homes are just the opposite and they state screwing cabinets to the floor doesn't allow for proper contraction and expansion.

Food Not Important

Emma really likes Burger King toys.

Emma decided it was best to water the lawn by hand but quickly became bored.

Emma took a dip in the pool with Travis, Christy and their kids.

I loaded the kids and took a drive to the house today. Not much had changed on the outside but I noticed a couple of guys carrying trim into the house.

The house is due to be completed by the 24th...of JUNE.

Math

I sit here recently discovering why math geeks make so much freakin’ money. I am not a math geek and will NEVER qualify as a math geek. I am more like a math loser.

I sit here fearing my whole push towards a college degree drifts in the breeze because of TRIGONOMETRY. My brain doesn’t see Trigonometry as the “geeks” see it. My brain sees confusion, bewilderment and panic while “they” see “Oh yeah, what idiot wouldn’t get this?”

I sit here realizing most degrees with a chance of making decent money require higher math. It makes total sense but that realization quickly pisses me right off when I see a certain “class” remaining on my schedule.

I know everybody has their horror story of a dreaded class, professor or both. Everybody recalls the time when they had to spend an additional lifetime on ONE subject.

Look, college (for most of us) is not easy. I know and appreciate that. I’m also waiting for universities across the nation to amend their math requirements. Maybe I should start a petition.
